amen. I F'ing laugh at their faces when "gangsters" in the united states BRAG that they live a 'tough life'. i tell them to read a book about the FAVELAS and just leave. i wanna see their faces when they witness favelas in 3rd world countries

Yes in general.  The crime rate and gang activities are worse in the Brazilian Favelas and the infrastructure is much worse in the Brazilian favelas.  I am a pastor/missionary and we work significantly with the gangs (policia mineira) in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro.  While I lived for 12 years near New Orleans I never saw anything as rough or bad as Rio.  We have had people we work with decapitated.

Yes. I've seen these communities built over open sewers.  People in the USA need to be grateful for what they have.

Definitely YES.  I laugh every time a black brags about living the tough life in "DA HOOD", they ain't seen nothing.  On top of that poor people here get well fare checks and gov assistance, in Brazil there's no gov assistance, which translates to no $ you're going hungry.
