  1. 50 years old? That song came out in 1969, that's not even 40 years. Even if it was 50 years old, it is still better than 99% of the sludge on radio today. If its the sludge you want, don't listen to the Classic Rock" stations. Find a station with "Jamz" in its title, and you'll be back to the mindless chanting you're looking for.


  2. Sure it is. You need to listen to something other than Classic Rock then so you won't hear Led Zepplin. Formats are created by radio station program directors and the DJ has nothing to do with choosing the music. If the DJ is young, I'm sure he doesn't like it any better than you do. Evidently, this radio station is going for the Male 25-54 demo. They would be able to sell beer, soda, cars advertisers with a strong demo like this one.
