  1. Yes. And No.

If by free energy you mean without fuel cost then yes. You mentioned solar, wind and water. There is also geothermal energy from Earth's natural heat in many places. Also Hydrocarbon fuel like coal in certain places is just there. Pick it up and use it. I'm not sure if tidal energy counts as water energy, but it is available.

All of those "free energy" sources are for fuel only and require a money investment to convert it to useful purposes such as electricity. As such the answer is no, it is not free energy.

As far and truly "free energy" in the form of perpetual motion, the answer is no. It does not exist.

  2. NOPE.............!!

  3. The answer to that: heck no! you wish...

so many laws by the past scientists have stated " Energy can not be created nor destroyed".. therefore, meaning we cant create any more energy..

The Arabian gulf now is booming due to how much energy and resources it has! If energy was free, do you think the American army would be in Iraq for oil? probably not.. so i hope I answered your question in a literall manner..

    Thanks for asking

  4. no system is cent %efficient. So a loss of energy to the surrounding always exists. this always means that the environment in which we live has a lot of energy in it.

  5. i think in your context included would be, geothermal(actually monkeys are using it also) and the FDA has approved the growing of a bean or pea that burns unrefined, magnetism used for lifting, seems like waves continual motion and lightning(if the let it run through something like the LHC) could be harnessed. gas was cheap so i don't think we cared to find better(for our environment also) sources. also methane from dumps, coal, ...,...,

  6. Abundance of energy is available in nature and almost infinite amount taking atomic energy also into account. Unfortunately it is not free, because harnessing it costs a lot of money. So the answer is yes and a very strong NO.

  7. Energy is neither created nor destroyed.  It is a constant.  Energy is either transfered, converted, released, captured, etc.

The idea of "free energy" is based upon the ideas of capturing energy that has already been released, instead of converting energy we release (such as heat from a fire, steam driving a turbine, etc).  Solar panels are one method to capture "free energy" as are wind turbines.  Solar panels actually collect photons (and some collect UV radiation, etc) that has been released by the sun (and possibly other astronomical sources).  Wind turbines capture the energy stored in the earth's atmospheric convection streams (wind).  You can also capture the energy from radio waves that TV stations and radion stations release in the actual radio wave (but they're very low power).  You can capture the energy of magnetic sources as well.

Free energy (in the way people think of it) does not exist.  Free energy is really just reducing the costs of obtaining the energy.  A car engine is very ineffecient (loses a lot of heat, burns fuel, etc).  Coal power plants are equally inefficient.  Nuclear plants are a little more efficient, but they lose a lot of heat, etc, but burn their fuel a lot slower.  Solar cells are a lot more efficient in space than they are on Earth (not because they are closer to the sun, but because they Earth's atmosphere isn't present to absorb and scatter the photons, etc).

  8. I assume you are asking "has any nation invented a technology that can supply unlimited energy for industrial purposes at zero commercial cost".  The answer is no.  Even though the universe has an abundance of energy, all known technologies for harnessing it comes with a price tag and limitations.  Hence your electric bill every month.

People once hoped that fusion  might produce lots fo "cheap" energy.  But even if fusion did become a reality, it wouldn't be completely "free".
