He has made it quite clear he wishes to join Liverpool. But he wont put his money where his mouth is and put in a transfer request.By not doing so Villa have to pay him a 3 mill loyalty bonus if he leaves.Liverpool have offerd 15,Villa have refused, because they want 18.There valueation of Barry is the same as Liverpools, 15 million,to get the 15 they have to ask Liverpool for 18.So all this balls about wanting to come to Liverpool, like i say put your money where your mouth is.As for MON going on the telly every 5 mins complaining about Liverpool, why should they pay his loyalty bonus

  1. It's interesting that the media never mention this, they always seem to prefer to have a dig at Rafa, likening him to a second hand car salesman etc. (I have never heard about his loyalty bonus btw).

In a way I can understand him trying to get an extra 3 million, but what I don't understand is if Aston Villa set up this loyalty payment clause in his contract they should have realised it may come back to haunt them surely?? How often do they have a loyalty bonus? Is it common to include that in a contract? I have no idea.

  2. I do agree with you.  Martin O'Neil is quite within his rights. If Barry wants to leave then he should put in his tranfer request. These footballers have dragged the game down and its about time Chairmen and managers stood up to them.  I am afraid its too late.

They should be sent to work in a packing factory to see what real work is like grrrrr
