Question:

Does Getting a Mole Removed Hurt

by  |  earlier

I went to my dermatologist to check out a mole because it was getting dark so he said we should remove it. He told me that he gives me a shot to numb the skin than cuts it out and stitches it up. Do the stitches hurt and does it hurt getting it cut out?

thanks

  1. NO it wont hurt mostly doctors use anesthetic medicines to reduce down the pain. moreover you will feel the needles but that wont hurt you.

If you are removing the mole just above your top lip, man that is gonna hurt bad but not during the surgery. But your doctor will prescribe some pain killers, you have to use them daily. Please be carfull while eating and use straw for drinking

  3. Hey, i actually got a deep mole removed off my neck last monday, and honestly after the slight pinch of the freezing needles(he did about 4 on my neck) i didnt feel a thing, just tugging but not painful.. hope this helps.. I'm excited i finally get my stitches out tomorrow :)

  4. I am 12 and i just got my mole removed from my neck this morning at 8:45 am and all they did was use a anes. shot and numb it and that doesn't really hurt at all. And then they use a scalpel and slice it off and then they spray something on to stop the bleeding and then they stitch it up and then put a bandage over and done deal. I was a nervous wreck right before they did it and their was no reason for me to because it was over in like 5 minutes and it didn't hurt. But the only thing that hurts is the stitches afterward. Because when the anes. shot numbness goes away the stitches start to fell tight and a little painful but not really that bad.
