  1. Are you asking a question or simply stating an opinion to which there would be little point in replying with logical evidence?

    ie Discussion or Rant?

  2. NOPE!!  IS ALL A HOAX!!  DONT BELIEVE THE LIES!!  ALL BELIEVERS A GLOBAL WARMING ARE BRAIN WASHED!!

  3. Yes Global Warming is True!!! Its from us Littering..Wasting..Or not recycling..Its from all the trash we trhough out in are yard..Adn plus the artics is melting wich is killing alot of polor animals!!! And the jungle animals they are dying from to much rain..Dead heat..Adn rain over over and thwe cold..

  4. yes it does stupid

  5. yes

  6. There are many basic scientific facts which can only be explained if the current global warming is being caused by an increased greenhouse effect due to carbon dioxide accumulating in the atmosphere from humans burning fossil fuels.

For example, the planet is warming as much or more during the night than day.  If the warming were due to the Sun, the planet should warm a lot more during the day when the Sun has influence.  Greenhouse gases trap heat all the time, so they warm the planet regardless of time of day.  Another example is that the upper atmosphere is cooling because the greenhouse gases trap the heat in the lower atmosphere.  If warming were due to the Sun, it would be warming all layers of the atmosphere.

We know it's warming, and we've measured how much:

Scientists have a good idea how the Sun and the Earth's natural cycles and volcanoes and all those natural effects change the global climate, so they've gone back and checked to see if they could be responsible for the current global warming.  What they found is:

Over the past 30 years, all solar effects on the global climate have been in the direction of (slight) cooling, not warming.  This is during a very rapid period of global warming.

    http://www.pubs.royalsoc.ac.uk/media/pro...

So the Sun certainly isn't a large factor in the current warming.  They've also looked at natural cycles, and found that we should be in the middle of a cooling period right now.

"An often-cited 1980 study by Imbrie and Imbrie determined that 'Ignoring anthropogenic and other possible sources of variation acting at frequencies higher than one cycle per 19,000 years, this model predicts that the long-term cooling trend which began some 6,000 years ago will continue for the next 23,000 years.'"

So it's definitely not the Earth's natural cycles.  They looked at volcanoes, and found that

    a) volcanoes cause more global cooling than warming, because the particles they emit block sunlight

    b) humans emit over 150 times more CO2 than volcanoes annually

So it's certainly not due to volcanoes.  Then they looked at human greenhouse gas emissions.  We know how much atmospheric CO2 concentrations have increased over the past 50 years:

And we know from isotope ratios that this increase is due entirely to human emissions from burning fossil fuels.  We know how much of a greenhouse effect these gases like carbon dioxide have, and the increase we've seen is enough to have caused almost all of the warming we've seen over the past 30 years (about 80-90%).  You can see a model of the various factors over the past century here:

This is enough evidence to convince almost all climate scientists that humans are the primary cause of the current global warming.

  7. The globe has warmed and cooled many times over it's history. Twenty years ago, scientist claimed the globe was cooling and we were headed for disaster. Currently it may be in a natural warming cycle.

If your question is: does man-made global warming exist. I.E., because man burns fossil fuel ? I don't believe so. The reason is that the folks who say it does are using the faulty 'hockey-stick' chart. But, the scientist who created The Weather Channel disagrees with man-made global warming and has many convincing lectures on youtube that explain why. Also, there are many more good scientist who disagree with man-made warming.

Do you know what the largest contributor by far to natural global warming is ? Water vapor.

There is an argument that points to hydrocarbon-based (fuel-oil & nat. gas) CO2 in the atmosphere, but when you consider that a couple of good volcano blasts (more than that occur every year, some even going on now) will equal America's contribution over several years, you can see the argument is non-sensical.

In any case, we should all be environmentally friendly. And try to do all we can to keep the planet clean.

  8. It is always a little laughable to me to read the warmers statements concerning the sun. Things like "clearly, the sun has nothing to do with the warming period." Can people not see the absurdity of this statement? They claim to have such a vast understanding of the earth's climate system that they readily eliminate the most likely culprit for it's change. The sun will not be given any respect until we can first come up with a theory on how man's activities has influenced it.

  9. yes i do eventually if people dont change things the polar ice caps will melt

  10. yes global warming does exist. i think it's cause by the carbon dioxide that is released into the atmosphere by burning fossil fuel. so when the sun's heat goes into the atmosphere, the heat can't go out. that's because of the carbon dioxide trapping the sun's heat into the earth and causing the ice burgs to melt. so that will cause the sea to rise and increase disease carrying mosquitoes' range.

  11. YESS!!   OFFFF COOURRSEEE!!!!!

  12. yes, of course, we should all help STOP Global Warming!!!
