  1. Civics get great gas mileage

  2. You could relate it to civics if you make the main point of your paper the political aspects of global warming....which are pretty huge.

  3. PLEASE, prior writing an article regarding global warming; understand the full facts.  Especially those true facts surrounding its non-existence and the non-human factor involved in any possible global warming.

  4. Melissa, I don't see how you could really relate global warming to civics and this may be overdone but you could do a paper on Rome and how mob rule affected it. Its a good place to talk about how our Republic differs from a true Democracy. Wikipedia has some nice info on this. Best of luck with whatever you choose.

  5. Yes for the reason it has an impact on all citizens.

There is something which could help with this issue and this would be to get the opinion of scientists of respect from The Middle East to express their views to make clear how grave the threat we all face and then for citizens to express their view in The Media. The threat of Global Warming as most know is worse than terrorism.

  6. People have a moral responsibility to defend their country and to protect their children.

  7. No sorry, it's science not civics.

  8. Of course it does. A major decision about how we use our resources needs to be debated in the public forum. That's basic civics. Or do you believe only the 'experts', government jockies and businessmen have a stake in this debate?

That begs a question: what do you think IS appropriate in a civics discussion?
