  1. God does intervene and sometimes when you are not even aware of it. He is good and He rains on the just as well as the unjust. Keep your faith in Him and seek Him more and you will feel His presence. If you draw close to Him, He will draw close to you. Seek Him and His peace and you will start gaining joy everlasting. We all get down from time to time, but when we start feeling this way, we have to turn to Jesus and trust Him and meditate on His Word. When you do this, you will feel His love and peace come over you and your faith will be strengthened.

  2. I honestly don't know why sometimes good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. I do know that God is without a doubt real and will definitely intervene for people. Yes, sometimes bad things happen to good people but God can take the bad things that happen and make something wonderful come out of it.

Take Joseph from the Bible for an example (the one with the coat of many colors). Genesis 37-45 (ok, I know its long but bare with me)

What Joseph's brothers meant to be evil by selling Joseph God turned into something good so that Joseph eventually saved his brothers and father from starvation.

Have faith, my friend, God is real no matter what the circumstance and he has never left you. ("For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."" - Hebrews 13:5)

I hope this answers your question somehow...

  3. I think he does but you never know he did it.  And then there are times when he does, for the Children of Israel, and everyone in this forum gets upset at what he did.

  4. Yes, if you pray with faith.

  5. God intervenes all the time. sounds to me that you might be looking at the small picture.  instead of the big picture of your life...many times i have prayed for something and, it never came to pass, and, as time went by i realized this thing that i prayed for was not in my best interest.  God gives us strength, and hope, it is up to us, to pump ourselves up and build up our selves with the word of God.  we are not left to our own means, that spells disaster.

pray and ask God for guidance and strength.  he will never let you down ever.

  6. this is where prayer comes in.

  7. There is no such thing as a good person in God's standards. Every good thing that He gives us is only by His grace.

(Isa 64:6) "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."

God did intervene when He sent His only begotten Son to die for the sins of all that will believe on Him.

(Joh 3:16) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

  8. Wise Solomon asked the same question as you. See his answer:

    Death Comes to All

This, too, I carefully explored: Even though the actions of godly and wise people are in God's hands, no one knows whether or not God will show them favor in this life. 2 The same destiny ultimately awaits everyone, whether they are righteous or wicked, good or bad, [fn1] ceremonially clean or unclean, religious or irreligious. Good people receive the same treatment as sinners, and people who take oaths are treated like people who don't.

3 It seems so tragic that one fate comes to all. That is why people are not more careful to be good. Instead, they choose their own mad course, for they have no hope. There is nothing ahead but death anyway. 4 There is hope only for the living. For as they say, "It is better to be a live dog than a dead lion!"

5 The living at least know they will die, but the dead know nothing. They have no further reward, nor are they remembered. 6 Whatever they did in their lifetime-loving, hating, envying-is all long gone. They no longer have a part in anything here on earth. 7 So go ahead. Eat your food and drink your wine with a happy heart, for God approves of this! 8 Wear fine clothes, with a dash of cologne!

9 Live happily with the woman you love through all the meaningless days of life that God has given you in this world. The wife God gives you is your reward for all your earthly toil. 10 Whatever you do, do well. For when you go to the grave, there will be no work or planning or knowledge or wisdom.11 I have observed something else in this world of ours. The fastest runner doesn't always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle. The wise are often poor, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don't always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being at the right place at the right time.

12 People can never predict when hard times might come. Like fish in a net or birds in a snare, people are often caught by sudden tragedy.

  9. Our Universe is a tiny speck in god's massive creation, and we are in this material world because of some mistake we may have done.In that sense, our material world will have suffering no matter what,it will have birth, death, old age and disease and everything works on karma,we have to simply accept our sufferings and thank god for not making it worser than what you might have deserved. Those are the laws of material nature. In a way, everything in this material creation is the inferior energy of god, thats why everything is so horrible here. But god did not leave us empty handed,we have scripture,we have a purpose as humans,in my belief,we reincarnate through many bodies all over the Universe until reaching the human body, which is the lowest among intelligent species, but its the point when we can actually question our existence.

If your Christian,do you ever wonder why Jesus never just came here to make everything utopia?Thats because this world we live in is god's negative energy,we're here as a sort of punishment, but in your faith,he left behind the bible, your guide for salvation. In my religion (Hinduism) Krishna came to Earth 5,000 years ago and left similar scripture behind.

  10. Yes.  God is in control of everything.

Try to see it like this.

God sees past, present and future all at the same time.  He is outside of time and space.  Things are working together for good in the grand scheme of things, even if it doesn't seem that way right now.

  11. Some would argue for the possibility that events cannot be predicted beyond a certain extent but occur in a random and arbitrary manner on the grounds that if there were complete set of laws, that would infringe on God’s freedom to change His mind and to intervene in the world. It’s a bit like the old paradox: Can God make a stone so heavy that He can’t lift it? But the idea that God might want to change His example of the fallacy, pointed out by St. Augustine, of imagining God as a being existing in time. Time is a property only of the universe that God created. Presumably, He knew what He intended when He set it up. With the advent of quantum mechanics, we have come to realize that events cannot be predicted with complete accuracy but that there is always a degree of uncertainty. If one liked, one could ascribe this randomness to the intervention of God. But it would be a very strange kind of intervention. There is no evidence that it is directed toward any purpose. Indeed, if it were, it wouldn’t be random. In modern science, we have effectively removed the third possibility by redefining the goal of science. Our aim is to formulate a set of laws that will enable us to predict events up to the limit set by the uncertainty principle.

Scientists are always looking for symmetry in the universe - Instead of good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people - how about good situations get worse and bad situations get better?

Your problem comes in when you force yourself to decide who is good and who is bad. When someone decides a painting is beautiful - he automatically makes another picture ugly.
