Question:

Does Google Search pull up stand-alone webpage files or do they also return compiled webpages?

I use PHP. I use a lot of PHP includes to make it easier for me to modify one webpage file, and have the effects take place to all of my files. I was wondering what does Google Search do when it crawls my site. Does it look at the individual PHP files and give those as the search results or does it look at the compiled PHP webpages the way you and I see the web pages and give that as the search results?

  1. I don't think it can see your individual PHP files, just the compiled output.

  2. The compiled output is what google sees.
