  1. Gordon brown is not a muppet; He is a""puppet" of the unions as was the same mob in the 70s. I remember the [winter of discontent], it nealy bankrupted me. You ask what is wrong with this man?

What is right with him would be a better question?

  2. When you are brain dead and thrashing about with not a clue on how to run a country , The stupid man thinks that all he has to do is throw money at it and all will be well . He is on an ever decreasing spiral that will soon end thank god .

  3. gordon brown was the best the chancellor this country ever seen he aint very good as a pm though.

  4. I think this idiot lost the plot several days after becoming Prime Minister.  I have never seen so many daft and expensive (for the person in the street) new laws brought in - what next I wonder?

  5. The only Vote Winner for the Labour Party is to get rid of Gordon Brown.

  6. Nu labour - if it ain't broke we`ll break it.

  7. If he does a U-turn on the smoking ban he'll get my vote :0)

  8. Well, so far none of the government's "schemes" have worked so why should this one be any different.

  9. If Governments only selected policies based on what was popular, instead of what was a good idea for the national economy and the environment, then this country would be a great deal more f***ed than it already is.

Personally I'm in favour of road charging.

And I'm in favour of the smoking ban too.

    So there.

  10. I don't think even he knows what he's doing anymore.

  11. gordon brown is a muppet

  12. I thought I was already paying by coughing up for road fund and petrol duty and petrol VAT!!!

Do you think it is a coincidence that this idea is promoted by ministers who have government cars and don't have to pay for their own petrol or congestion charges or parking fines or other robberies perpitrated on the motorist?

  13. Don't we pay to much Tax Already??....New Labours Wallet is empty after years of spend, spend tax tax spend and spend...Why should we pay anymore....if GB Ltd was a real company would have been closed down due to bad Management...but the only reasons why it has not is???.....New Labour can Bleed the Tax payer dry and blame the last Government 11 years ago.....Don't forget folks..."Things can only get better" said Mr Blair....Yes maybe but not for the British Tax payer...just the corrupt government gravy train...Were all right jack...

  14. How many more stupid rules and regulations are this pathetic hated government going to bring in before we get rid of them.

The Labour Government was once the working mans party now they are just a joke.

Why the h**l should we motorists have to again shell out massive costs when the roads themselves are in a terrible state, and to have to pay on the mileage you do is madness, its alright for those in Government who get travel expenses. Why don't they just ban cars from the roads and get it over with.

This is not doing them any favours for the coming election and,it does seem that they are on a self destruct course,so let them get on with it.

You know this is all to pay for the cost of keeping the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan,as well as sending aid to everyone who wants it.

I really wish we could vote "no confidence" in this !Brown! party and get rid of the lot of them.

  15. Why, why, why don't the Government put all motoring taxes on fuel

No evasion of road tax,no enforcement costs, wasted police resource.

Road users pay proportionate to road usage and loads carried.

Polluters pay proportionate to pollution created.

    No introduction costs.

    No capital costs.

    No additional civil servants.

    No collection costs.

Credit card companies get even richer and banks even richer again(This will swing it for Gordon).

    Could be introduced tomorrow.

If Gordon Brown wants to rob the motorist blind at least he could do it fairly.

Why do politicians turn their back on this simple, incorruptible and fair system, rather than opt for the

    Most expensive.

    Most complicated.

    Police time wasting.

  16. He's psychologically disfunctional. That is why he doesn't know how to drive a car. He is unable mentally to use the indicator switch, because he can't remember which way it goes to turn left or right.

  17. Everyone is fed up of this prat stealing our mobility and robbing us blind - strangling the economy is not a good idea.

  18. I personally would prefer this system than just a massive increase in road tax.

I only drive about 4000 miles a year but under the present proposal I would be paying £440 road tax for my Jag. OK so I make some CO2 but not as much as someone who drives a 1.6 car for 20K miles a year.

So for me paying tax on the fuel you use would be better!

This is about the only thing I agreed with GB on. Generally speaking I think this government is billy biz.

  19. Lets us be honest!Even He knows that he is a vote loser and Labour will be voted out at the next election! What he is trying  to do is!Hope people have short memories and blame it onto the Conservatives! This Labour Government must think we are as thick as two short planks!

  20. The mans deluded that's whats wrong with him.

  21. Bringing this back onto the agenda will make no difference to the vehicle tax increase - this will be on top.

Call me a suspicious b@stard but there is actually a hidden agenda with this idea and the real reason why it keeps surfacing. Most people have either missed it or forgotten.

Part of this system will require the fitting of a tracker device to every vehicle - at the vehicle owners expense.

They tried to bring this idea in about 3 years ago under the "war on terror & crime" blanket but it was dropped as too hot a political potato under the right to privacy.

It then re-emerges as an aid "to cut traffic congestion". A brilliant idea as we all accept that the roads are busy so we can't really argue the point.

What they failed to mention at the time - and only admitted about three months ago after being backed into a corner - is that the Police & security services  will have full access to the "traffic congestion" system in the "war on terror & crime".

This will allow them to track any UK vehicle 24/7.

I have yet to hear how they intend charging foreign vehicles - or don't they count?

Exactly the same as 3 years ago - just in a different disguise - crafty b@stards!!

  22. Pretty soon everything will f**k up he is a stupid man with ridiculous ideas that do not benefit in the long term.
