Does Grandmaster of the Six Samurai's count as one of the "Six Samurais"?

There are 6 of the original six samurais. But then theres the Grandmaster. Does he count as one of the six samurais? Also would you be able to special summon him if u have "The Spirit of the Six Samurai" on the field?

If a monster has Six Samurai in its name, it counts as a Six Samurai, so Grandmaster and Spirit are both Six Samurai monsters.  Shogun Shien and Enishi wouldn't be since they don't have Six Samurai in their name.

Us, Six Samurai Deck users, consider him as the "seventh" of the Six Samurai's. Yes. He is. If you have any doubt left about the fact, you might want to check the last two words of his name; it might convince you.

He might have a little different effect than the other SS monsters, but nonetheless, he's counted as one of the Six Samurai. Although technically, he's the seventh and Spirit of the Six Samurai is the eight. I know it's kinda weird but that's how Konami did it's business with them.

Now here's the tricky part:

If you Normal Summoned Spirit on the field and Spirit is alone, you CAN special summon Grandmaster and simultaneously equip it to Grandmaster. However, once you do this, and they are the only Six Samurai monster you have at that time, you won't be able to special summon Great Shogun Shien because Spirit would already be counted as an equip/union monster on the Spell/Trap Zone.

yes. grandmaster has "six samurai" in his name. so if spirit were on the field, you can special summon grandmaster from your hand

Yeah you could...A nice combo of special summons.

Any Six Samurai Monster (Preferably Spirit for a good boost)

Trigger: Grandmaster Of the Six samurai Special Summon.

2ndary trigger: Great Shogun Shien

Note: If you have Swift Samurai Storm And or Swiftstrike Armor and you draw Six Samurais, you can special summon and get a boost =D
