Does Green Burrito use lard in their beans?

It's already been decided that neither Del Taco nor Taco Bell use lard in their beans, but does Green Burrito? I can't find ingredient lists anywhere. I think it's likely that they do, but I'd like to know for sure, if anyone knows.

  1. They don't.  They also don't have it in their tortillas.

ETA: you can find the ingredients list in the reference below.

  2. I don't think lard is usually used in beans, rather it's typically used in the production of tortillas.

Almost all American based Mexican food restaurants do not use lard at all though.

  3. most likely they do.  but by law they are required to tell you if you ask.  bcuz some folks have food  allergies and eating the wrong thing could kill them.  when i was a teen and got a job @ Taco H*ll oh i ment Bell - i found that they put lard in beans that were already prepared ( came from can w/ no lard), we were saposta put these gallon cans of lard into the beans and mix it up.  that was what i learned in the first 20 min of orientation - i quit.  went back to art studio.    and i told you this cuz if an employee @ burrito place says they do not know - ask for manager.  oh and i do not know who told you Taco Bell did not use lard.   i saw it myself w/ my own eyes!

  4. You can contact them here: http://www.ckr.com/contact.html

    to find out.

    Hope this helps!

Oh btw, Kfaulk21- lots of companies use lard in beans AND tortillas. I don't know where you live but I live in the southwest and almost all the Mexican restaurants hear use lard or some kind of animal bi product to BEWARE and ALWAYS ask!
