  1. no its a myth!!! ur fat!!!!

  2. No.  Green tea, in its original form, meaning not oxidized and processed to "death" is an antioxidant food.

However, the products people are buying are useless unless they are isolated freeze dried green tea that under a specific process, is categorized as an expensive "nutraceutical" that you will not find on any health food store shelf.

Green tea products that are sweetened and bottles are "high glycemic" meaning, they are calorie ridden juice type products that are sweetened and made with unactivated useless green tea.

If you want green tea and like the idea of putting antioxidants into your body, you get real fresh green tea leaves and use a French Coffee Press.  You poor hot water over it, and push the screen down, and wallah.  REAL uncontaminated green tea.

    There you go.

  3. real green tea does help you lose wright as it gives a slight boost to your metabolism with the caffeine and also slightly reduces appetite.

I do not recommend Crystal light or anything with aspartame, brand name nutrasweet, in it. Nutrasweet has been linked with tumors, lupus, MS and many other diseases. I can not remember what else I have read about it but I do remember those things as I have been reading and hearing about that for almost 20 years.

The best way to lose weight is to eat five to seven servings of veggies a day, at least 3 servings raw. Eat a serving or two of fruit and three servings of lean protein about the size of the palm of your hand each day. Eat complex carbs.

Avoid anything with sugar or white flour, dtink lots of water and exercise moderately at least 3 times per week. Sleep 7 to 8 hours per night and manage your stress.

This will not only help your weight, it is good for your health to eat a healthy diet and live a healthy lifestyle.

If you like green tea, drink one to three cups daily, it gives a spall boost to the metabolism and also contains healthy antioxidants. Do not add cream or sugar, that adds fat and calories, if you must sweeten stevia, is natural, healthy and low calorie.

Healthy weight loss is about 1 to 3 pounds per week.

  4. Tea consumption is associated with weight loss, green tea, white tea, oolong tea or pu-erh tea. There is little difference between them in effect. I have copied some info re green vs other types and their affect below if it further helps:

“Only a small number of the studies have compared the differences between various teas (green, Oolong/Wulong, Pu-erh tea) as to their anti-obesity effects.

The study results tend to divide the teas into two groups:

    • fermented or patricianly fermented teas, such as pu-erh and Oolong tea

    • unfermented tea – green tea.

There is some indication that the fermented teas are more effective than green tea at reducing body fat. Hoever the evidence is not strong.

There are also Chinese empirical notions as follow:

    • green tea is effective at reducing blood sugar level. It is commonly used in areas where the diet is sweet and climate is humid.

    • Oolong or Pu-erh tea on the other hand are more effective at reducing body fat. For example, Pu-erh is widely consumed in areas like Tibet, where the local diet contains high level of rich meat (horse or lamb) and dairy products.

Sugar and fat are both energy supplies for the human body. They convert into each other depending on the body energy requirement level. When supply exceeds consumption, fat builds up. However when it comes to energy mobilization, sugar resolves to energy much faster than fat.

Although all teas interwork with the body's energy consumption/storage, they somehow work from slightly different angles.

The general opinion of health professionals in this area is that there is more overlap than differences. Tea consumption therefore should be encouraged as a functional health food, including weight management.”

  5. It can be due to the compound EGCG, I believe. Working in a similar method to caffeine, it speeds up your metabolism, but I don't know how effective it is.

If I were you, I would not use such a commercial product as Crystal Light for this purpose. Often these popular "diet" or "health" brands actually contain a lot of artificial ingredients that are not good for your body or your health. I suggest going to a natural foods store for a green tea product developed for weight loss. Try not to use things that are artificially colored or flavored. You might want to start with a simple green tea which you can buy in any grocery store and brew a big pot, keep it in the fridge and drink it throughout the day.

However, if you have high blood pressure, you may not want to use green tea for weight loss. Increasing your metabolism through supplements can also raise your bp.
