Does Griffey deserve as much attention as Manny, just like when they hit their milestones?

Was it better for him to be traded on the same day as Bay, Man-Ram, and Pudge because I've been hearing a lot more about the NL West and AL East than the AL Central.

  1. Griffey doesn't get attention because he's being outplayed by tons of corner outfielders right now. Manny, Bay, Ludwick, Soriano, Braun, and many others are putting Griffey to shame. Now the Griffey of the late 90's would probably stir the pot a little more...

  2. Griffey was traded?

I went camping for a week, came back, and now everyone is everywhere! I could have cried when I heard the news about Manny.

I think coverage is dictated by a couple things -- Griffey has had a great career, but let's face it, he's past his prime. He's not as important a piece as he once was. You also have to consider the markets involved -- more people in general care about New York, Boston, and Los Angeles in general because of the number of people in the area.

  3. well they had no choice it was the dead line but i was happy for griffey but i still wanted him to come to seattle :(
