Does Guitar Hero teach you to play the guitar?

Does it have 6 strings and do the frets and notes correspond to the real thing? Or is it just a pretend-a-poo, but leave no skills in the end?

it really doesn't help at all my guitar teacher is horrible at it and my friend that doesn't play guitar is great at it.

No it doesnt but it may help you play better because you have to follow a beat, play at the right time, and move your hands quickly.

No it does not,but it teaches the basics and lil things about the guitar people who dont know how to play guitar so dont know anything at all.i now know more than i did about guitars though.But its a fun game anyways ^-^

think about it. Does tony hawk teach you to ride a skateboard? Does call to duty teach you how to shoot a gun? Does grand auto theft teach you how to steal a car or beat up people? It's just a game, it's for entertainment, it's not the real thing, learn to play the guitar, a kid can play the game.

it technically doesnt help you at all with learning how to play the guitar but it does however help you learn rhythm which in the end might have the ability to teach you something but nothing really important.

so to answer your question (yes but in the smallest way possible) almost doesnt help at all
