Does HEIGHT influence CHARACTER?

Why are the greatest men in history so short? (greatest = most powerful and ambitions leaders - like Napoleon, Hitler, etc.)

I do think that height, especially of men, does play a significant role in modern social relations and can influence certain characteristics in people.

However, when you look at history and the heights of people, you need to note that at the time when most notable men such as Napoleon were around, they were not short for their time periods. In fact, Napoleon was well average for men in his time period.

Humans are getting taller as time goes on.  The average heights keep going up for most nations. Right now Dutch people are tallest on average and the American average height has been actually declining since the 1950s most likely due to poor health care, social systems and dietary habits.

Not really.  5-Star General George S. Patton was a tall man!   Dwight D. Eisenhower was certainly not short by any stretch of the imagination.   Abraham Lincoln was tall.  These are,without a doubt, some of the greatest men in history.  Are those enough examples for you or would you like more???

i believe not height itself, but the way it is perceived in society. short people might feel they have something to prove in order to compensate for what they (or others) regard as a physical imperfection.

as far as history goes...i'm sure that statistically all height categories are generously represented :))

no height has nothing to do with it...it just sort of happend....the short people tend to be the nerds in school hence growing up to be leaders or doing a job that is beyond extrodinary...

It is possibly because height is not the only thing that determines character.

probably, if you are always looking down at people you probably look down on them aswell. Maybe the men who are short are trying to do something grand so they wont only be characterized by their size.
