Does Hopup matter?

Well I no that hopup can increase the range and FPS of my gun. I'm looking at a gun that has two different styles. One with Hopup and without it. It has the same FPS and range so whats the difference? Which one should I buy too? (It's a Mauri and spring :D)

Yes, hop-up is useful and hops the BB into the barrel.It also can be adjusted and improves the preformance of the gun.

whats the price, what type of gun? hop up usualy helps. we are talkin airsoft right.

hop up will make the BB go father so yeah it pretty much does but for close range shooting i wouldn't recommend it cuz it sucks close range

Get the Hop-up one. I have a gun that shoots the same FPS and same range as one of my others(i have 3 guns) but without hop-up and it shoots .12 gram bbs fine but shoots .20 gram bbs right into the ground. It also can't make long shots with the .12 because of wind and what not while the .20's shoot really far and accurate in the one that has hop-up becuase the hop-up puts back spin on the bb so it arches up into the air making it so that you can shoot .20 which aren't affected by the wind and hurt more. In other words hop-up helps a lot, but get .20 gram bbs for it. Really helps.
