Does I-tunes/my I-pod automatically add or remove songs from the library when I add/remove them from my pc?

Ok, I have a folder with subfolders for music, sorted alphabetically by artist. If I add songs or remove songs, does I-tunes know? Does my Ipod know?

It only knows if you have your iPod set to automatically sync music. If it's manual, you have nothing to worry about.

If you remove it out of a folder/delete it from a folder then when you play it in itunes it will say it cannot find the file - do you want to locate it? So in effect itunes WILL NOT be able to play it. I don't think it will sync the song then
