no, i dnt think so, this is just a game before also like this so many games going on ? if u are a sportsman then u know about inter univresity and state and nationla compititions they are also like the same. so just take game as a game is ok.

Look, it depends on your nationality. If you're Indian AND you belong to a city which has its own IPL team, then you're bound to back that particular team. However if you start slandering other regional teams, then...that's just sad.

Of course if you belong to a country other than India, then there's no question of regionality. You'll just be supporting whichever team your favourite player is in.

People in India are definitely likely to support the team representing the city/state they're from. There's nothing wrong with that... that's the whole idea! But I'm sure that almost all non-Indians, except for the cricketers themselves ($$$!), will not care at all.

I Would Like To Say Yes To that.......IPL is a Game which has Popularity, Fame, Very Skilled and Paid players, And many things When Compared to Ranji Trophy Championship and many other Championships........It is a Much Hyped Format of Game than Others Comparatively.......Though Cricket is Cricket but IPL Divides People on the basis of States, Actors,  etc and Ofcourse Fan Following........Consider  my Example......My Best Friend and I Fought Because he supports Chennai Super Kings Because of Mahi(Mahendra Singh Dhoni) and And I support Deccan Chargers Because i Live in Hyderabad(Separation on the basis of States) and Also Because of Gilly(Adam Gilchrist)......There you go Friends Go Foe and Foe Go Friends in IPL.........Itz all down how they Play.......
