Question:

Does Ice Tea offer the same benefits as Brewed Tea?

Everyone knows the drinks like Snapple Iced Tea, Arizona, Brisk, and that new hit Lipton Green Tea? The stuff that comes from the bottle or can. Well besides being packed with sugar, does it actually provide the anti oxidants? Or the things that lead people to believe tea is so great for you? Because I hate Brewed Tea, but Ice Tea is amazing. It's hard to believe that they come from the same origin.

  1. All those bottled ice teas ARE loaded with sugar or artificial sweeteners.  The artificial sweeteners would null any benefits that you'd get from whatever antioxidants are in them.  Why not make some Lipton Black ice tea, and add a bag or 2 of Raspberry or Peach tea? ...  You'd need strong black tea, or strong green tea to get any benefits, and the bottled ones are also very diluted.....

  2. They still contain anti oxidants but they are full of sugar & carbohydrates.so brew your own Tea,add some mint or if you can get it pineapple mint.Mmmm very refreshing & good for you,not to mention cheaper.

  3. i dont think it does....

  4. MMMMMMMMMM YES

  5. Any health benefits are probably negated by the high amount of sugar in them.  It's like people who think they can lose weight by eating only foods marked "low fat" when there are plenty of other things in the food that will make you fat anyway

  6. it does have the antioxidants but lots of added sugar. just brew your own tea and add a fruit flavouring. there is a smaller amount of actual tea in bottles of ice tea, more flavours, sugars and preservatives. u can buy loose leaf tea with fruit pieces in it. brew and chill. tastes pretty good.
