I think it varies on the location of the restaurant. They are more likely to serve them in Georgia than Michigan.

Do they serve grits?   I guess they just plop em on the plate with a bit of butter.

Yes they do.  I have just moved to Florida and tried it for the first time.  It really was good.  Put cheese on it.  I asked because I did not see it on the menu also.  But to answer, yes they do.

Not at the one where I live, but being in Georgia, from Georgia, I dare say I'd call them grits, but then again I've not been to any resturant in 10 years that truely knew how to make grits. Taste like  paste.
