Does Ikea ship to Hawaii? Kauai, specifically...?

Who doesn't love Ikea? We're moving to Kauai in a few days, and just wondering... Thanks!

honestly, i'm not sure.  i think they might, but trust me, it will not be worth it.  i love ikea, but i live on Oahu.  shipping costs more than the items, making the cheap  ikea prices, more expensive than if you went somewhere locally to buy something similar.

BUT i want to answer the other question of yours.  you have 30 days to register your car.  first though, you need to get a safety inspection.  to get that, you need to go to a service station or a shop licensed to do the checks.  as long as everything is ok, you will still 'fail'.  you fail because you don't have a hawaii registration.  you will get a blue copy which you will take to the dmv.  show that to the dmv and they will give you your registration and hawaii plates.  now, you need to put on your hawaii plates, and put the little sticker they gave you on the back plate.  then you go back to the place you got your inspection done and they will correct your failed inspection, pass you, and put your inspection stickers on your car.  make sure that you have a STATE OF HAWAII INSURANCE CARD before you get your inspection.  you cannot pass if you have a California Insurance card.  you are covered, but until you get a Hawaii Card, you cannot pass your inspection.
