  1. mobile.live.com and m.ebuddy.com are good mobile IM web clients.

    Depending on your plan, you may be able to get a J2ME java client (app) which is slightly more convenient, check with Sprint.

    For the web clients, I would check to make sure that you have unlimited mobile browsing, not some c**p 5c per page kinda plan.


  2. AIM is considered a text. It does not require internet. Make sure you have a large text plan though.
