Question:

Does Internet explorer automatically clear out the history from the address bar?

I have a young man in my house and it seems that the number of addresses that show up when you use the address drop-down box is much, much shorter. Also when I start to type in an Internet address it would usually show in a drop-down below the address line. This is not happening now. He suggested that the Internet history got scrubbed because it had been set number of days. I don't know enough to know whether or not he is lying to me. Help. Thanks.

  1. It's possible he may be searching/going to sites he doesn't want others who use the computer to know about?  You can modify these types of settings in internet exporer by going to Tools > Internet Options.  Go to settings under Browser History to see how many days IE saves the sites you've visited.
