  1. Safe-Home is a National organisation that seeks to assist older Irish born emigrants to return to their homeland. The criteria for application is that people must be aged close to or over 60 years, must be living in rented accommodation and must be seeking to return to their county of origin or a county they have close, verifiable links with.

The government gives tax concessions to employers to entice skilled staff.  The company can claim relolcation expenses as a deduction against profits. These tax benefits can range from 5,000 to as much as 35,000 Euro. The following are just some of the reimbursable relocation expenses:

    • Flight home

    • Removal costs of furniture

    • Cleaning of stored furniture

    • Storage costs

    • Insurance of furniture in transit or storage

    • Stamp Duty, Solicitors’ and Auctioneers’ fees arising from moving house

    • Temporary subsistence allowance (inc. up to three months’ accommodation expenses.)

  2. This is still being worked out by irish and US officials. But if it does get worked out you will need to apply for that visa and it will have a time limit on it. And will be for US citizens only (not just irish americans.

  3. If your parents are Irish citizens, and you applied before 1984, you're golden.

    Otherwise, it's called "Immigration"
