If you're unfamiliar with NetFlix, it's a DVD rental service through the internet in America, where you are sent movies you request every month through the mail and send them back after you've watched them, for a low fixed rate.

Have loads of family in Ireland and they were asking about NetFlix and were hoping they had a similar service. I'm told it's expensive to rent movies at places like Xtra Vision, where one movie for one night rental is much more money than you'd pay in the USA for multiple movies for a week long rental, so thought I'd ask for them.

  1. Yes

    1. Moviestar.ie

Packages from €13.99 for 1 disc at a time to €26.99 for 3 DVDs at a time.

    2. Screenclick (they bought Busy Bee DVD, another online rental service)

    Packages

    :Platinum - €31.99 (unlimited 4 DVD's at a time)

    Gold - €24.99 (unlimited 3 DVD's at a time)

    Silver - €17.99 (unlimited 2 DVD's at a time) (most popular)

    Bronze - €12.99 (unlimited 1 DVD at a time)

    Lite - €7.99 (limited 2 DVD's a month)

I agree, Xtravision is expensive for rentals, hence the popularity of online rentals.
