  1. The Republic of Ireland has euros and the North of Ireland (not including Donegal) uses pounds because It is part of the UK.


  2. The Republic of Ireland uses the Euro. Northern Ireland uses the pound sterling - however many border towns of Northern Ireland will also accept the Euro. Derry, Newry, Armagh and so on are quite happy with Euro BUT the exchange rate isn't always very good.
