Does It Take A Lot Of Money?

Do you think that to be successful in acting that you need to be able to spend money many times. There are a lot of kids in my family and my parents don't think that they will be able to support my carreer. I really am talented and like acting though. You need a headshot which can be kind of expensive. I was just wondering what you thought. Thanks!

Don't start by going professional. Get as much experience as you can in local theater, summer stock. Make what connections you can locally. If you can wow people on something beyond the high school stage, then it is time to think of going farther.

Please remember that most successful actors, with SAG cards, can't make a living at it. 95% of guild members are out of work at any given time. So get that education, just in case.
