  1. Yes

    Japan has no oil reserves of it's own. So it must import.

    It imports mostly from the gulf region but will buy from anywhere if the price is right.

  2. if they do, it's very little. japan gets most of it's oil from gulf countries (qatar,kuwait) and russia

  3. yes they do... Im almost 100% I think I read something about a  man a plan panama....which they are enlarging...and if that fails...give me one more try and I would brave the north west passage....    

    Japanese are very humble types ere go I doubt Chavez would have a conflict of egos/machismos/personalities on the scale of that with  Senor Bush precluding him from supplying oil to the second now third largest economy/ market in the world.
