Does Javascript work on iPhone?

Specifically, if I want to implement an AJAX solution using javascript and PHP, will it run on the iPhone?

I`ve heard that FLASH and therefore Actionscript doesnt work.

  1. yes java works, you can disable it in your settings


  2. Yes, it supports Javascript via the web browser.

    But Im not sure if there is support for the XMLHttpRequest object?
