Does Jesus have a dark side that Christians keep silent about, or are just too afraid to talk about?

If so, why are Christians so afraid to talk about it? Will they be sent to h**l if they talk about it at all? Or is it just if they talk about it with people who they consider outsiders?

Do they have a policy of silencing their members who know too much?

  1. No, he is perfect and made in God's image.

  2. None. "In Him is Light."

  3. Jesus, I am your Father, Join the darkside with me, For I am The Devil, Muhahahahahahhahah

  4. It depends upon what you mean by a "dark side". On the one hand the Bible teaches that...

1 John 1:5  This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

On the other hand, if by a "dark side" you mean that Jesus isn't just some limp-wristed, carrying a flower, skipping along and talking about how He loves everyone and they don't need to change a thing type of guy, then, Yes, if that's what you mean then Jesus does have a "dark side".

Revelation 19:11  Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.  12  His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself.  13  He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.  14  And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.  15  Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.  16  And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

If someone is an unrepentant sinner then they should "Be afraid...be very afraid!"

  5. According to the "Infancy Gospel of Thomas", (one of the Gospels not included in the "official canon" of Christianity), Jesus was a pretty "dark" fellow when He was a schoolboy, and on occasion turned schoolchums into toads or even dispatched them to, erm, heaven?

  6. Who's afraid of Dr. Jesus & Mr. Hyde?

Actually I am. I saw the Darkside of the LORD quite a few years back while attending a frat party.

I... well... I just don't feel comfortable talking about it. It was far too traumatic, and I'd hate to relive even a moment of it.

It could have had something to do with the mushrooms on the Pizza though...

  7. does matter

  8. Oh Pleeeaaaasseeee.... give me a break! <eye roll>

  9. He is being presented to the Christian world as a perfect One. and nobody inside the congregations will ever know he has a dark side. In the Book of Psalm however, there is passage where one of the songs of David it was written, " My follies are not hidden from You." There has not been a character in the Bible whose sin was never revealed, even the Prophets have in time confessed  their mistakes and their errors are always made known to the people within their kingdom and so are the readers of the Bible; So who could it be that no one except God knew about his follies? It is impossible for David to be confessing his sins since his great errors are well known all over his kingdom; but there is possibility he was prophesying the life of the next anointed.

Take careful reading too of Isaiah 14:1-17. It talks of "Lucifer" in King James Older Version, Latin Vulgate of the Catholics and some Hebrew Bible and it was written as "Morning Star" or Shining Star" in the American Version of Catholics, New International Version and other Christian Bibles.

After you have read that, you will find that Lucifer was never an angel who rebelled against God. He was a man who was seen at the pit of the grave and was asked, "You too have become weak like us?" He was not Nehru as speculated because this man claimed to be going up the recesses of the North and sit with the assembly God on the throne. In his own right he was already a powerful King of a large empire.

Then maybe you should consider Matthew 26: 64 to know who have the same claim. After that, Read the Book of Revelation 22:16 so you will find out for yourself who is the "Morning Star".

The reason why I did not quote them to you is for you to find it out yourself so you will not say that I just invented it. The Bible has a code but it is not a code where you are led to go outside the Book and speculate wrongly.

  10. I don't know of any.

  11. I suspect that Judas did more than just kiss Jesus that day.

  12. Yes  a dark side to Christians from a young age till when he appeared when he was 33 Jesus trekking to India to study the Vedas and Buddhism

The early followers of Jesus' teachings were made up of several groups. One such group was the Gnostics. They practiced laying on of hands and professed to have a secret knowledge that had been passed on to them by Jesus and his disciples. The Gnostics were made up of many smaller groups some of which were known as the Docetists, the Marcionites, and the Carpocratians.

When Christianity became organized after the second century, its teachings were centered around faith and the official teachings of the church, rather than healing or "good works" and inner guidance as practiced by the Gnostics. At this time, those promoting the organization of the church began subduing and banishing those Gnostics who would not conform to the authority of the newly developing Church. In addition they tried to destroy the Gnostic gospels. With the elimination of the Gnostics and the establishment of the Official Christian Church, the practice of laying on hands by lay Christians was strongly discouraged.

Jesus possessed great confidence in his ability and was able to heal in an instantaneous way with spectacular results. It is clear that he had perfected many skills and used them in conjunction to get the results he created. Clearly the Bible indicates that he did healing by laying on hands and also indicated that we could do the same. The teachings of Jesus, as well as the example he set are a great inspiration for us.
