Does John McCain really expect Sarah Palin to be able to hold her own in a debate against Joe Biden?

I mean, honestly, how is a woman with less than 2 years of experience governing a state of just over half a million people supposed to debate a 35 year member of Congress and the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations? Did John McCain not take anything into consideration besides her age, gender and which party she serves?

And don't forget her four years on the city council (pop. 5,600) prior to her stint as mayor.

His choice makes me wonder if he knows he will lose. Choosing Palin will hurt his campaign because she is a worse choice than other better qualified candidates, but at least this way they can say that they were progressive too.

Yet you think Obama with only 1 year in the senate (3 years elected, two running for president) and a few years as a community organizer can beat McCain in a debate? Liberals like you really do try to distort reallity to meet your views of the world.

I can't wait to see it.  From what I've seen she's a pretty sharp lady, and Joe Biden is the master of bluster and Bull-sh-it.  If he does his usual shtick, he'll wind up doing a lot of harrumphing to cover his lack of real knowledge, and work for a soundbite.  This campaign gets better and better every day.

There is no country better than ours, and this campaign proves it.
