Question:

Does John McCain support prosecution of doctors who perform abortions for murder?

If we legislate that human life begins at conception, then killing a fetus is murder. For that matter, discarding unneeded embryos after an in vitro fertilization procedure would also be murder. Therefore, the Republicans should be clear that they would require prosecuting doctors and anyone else who assists in performing abortions.

  1. If you want to 'prosecute' someone, prosecute the mother.  She is the one who is requesting and paying for an abortion.  The Doctor is doing a 'procedure' at the request of the mother.  A Doctor can do the procedure sterilely.  When coat hangers were used, the woman frequently got life threatening infections or sterile from infection, or bled to death.  And frequently, the abortion failed anyway.

In one sense human life begins at conception, but actual viable human life begins at birth.  It suits 'legal' purposes in some instances to say life begins at conception, but that is at cross purposes with reality.  The embryo is more accurately defined as a perfect parasite until it is pushed out into the cold cruel world.  Can you 'murder' a parasite?

It is clear to me that people and the government have no place interfering with a womans decision to carry her parasite or not.

I believe that antiabortion people are close to insanity if not already insane.  And obviously have nothing useful going on in their lives.
