This article is about the Dutch sighting. The piece has been translated into English. However, it makes the points that the PJ asked Kate to look at these pictures and was met with the response that she had 'other things to do'.

And apparently, these pictures of the family and child concerned in both the CCTV images, are not allowed to be published, but the UK press has published pictures of innocent famlies and children without their permission. How would you feel about this if it was you?

The McCann child was reportedly spotted by a woman in the Netherlands, in her shop. She reportedly spoke to the little girl at length and even asked about the little girl's mommy. Supposedly, the child told this shop clerk that she was 'taken away from her mommy' by the people who were with her. The little girl stated that she was called 'Maddie', (though Madeline's parents' concern about this story, was that they never called their daughter, nor did their child ever refer to herself as Maddie.

No other quotes were attributed to the parents were issued about this matter, other than that, the child never referred to herself as Maddie.

The other concern is why the clerk at the shop, having felt that she recognized the little girl, after having spoken to the little girl, and especially given the nature of the child's responses, didn't call the police, and try to keep the little girl safe in a side room until police could arrive and settle the matter legally. The worst that could have happened is that it was a case of mistaken identity and the clerk would not have been given grief over trying to do the right thing.

Nothing about this case shocks me more than the fact that the children were abandoned in the hotel room with the door unlocked. Seems to me that they still cry bring my daughter home when more worthy cases, the adults not the child victim, are less to blame.

Why did the police "ask" Kate to look at the pictures? They don't have to ask an arguida anything. They TELL an arguida what to do. Even in the UK, a Suspect or witness would be summoned to an ID parade or to look at photofits.
