Depends on the unit. look at the plug. if its the same as your lamp its 110 volt.  If the configeration is different its 220 volt.

Any single room a/c should carry 110 power only. Check your manuel or where you got it from.

The type of plug on the end of the cord will indicate the voltage or, all electric devises must have label telling you the proper voltage. 5k is a small ac, I'd guess 120vac

My husband doesn't know.The butthead s trying to fix ours!!But you can punch in Kenmore,5000 BTUs on the net and should be able to get insructions on wiring/installation.It will tell you if it's 110 or 220. I found voltage for this Fedders a/c unit today.Goodluck..and stay cool
