Different versions of the King Arthur tale present the Arthur/Morgaine encounter in various ways and from different perspectives. You have to decide which one makes sense to you.

Sir Thomas Malory vs. T. H. White vs. Jack Whyte vs. Marion Zimmer Bradley--to name but a few--each had a unique slant on a similar Tale. Take your pick.

It's funny, but recently I read a survey about how more people believe in King Arthur etc. but they think Winston Churchill and Mahatma Gandhi are fiction!!

Nobody knows anything about King Arthur including whether he actually existed or not so anything you "know" about him is just a story.

He was put under a spell by Morgana to make him believe it was Guenevere. No affair, just a one time thing for Morgana to do more of her dirty work. Hope this helps!!!

i have heard this is true and untrue. with so little recorded history it is hard to tell. time can change stories like that *snaps* It is very unclear no one could ever tell besides king arthur himself

King Arthur is a fictional character.

He might be based on a real person, but the story of Arthur, Merlin, Lancelot, Excalibur, and the Knights of Round Table are tales.

You might be able to find your answers in the library, though. Just search for 'King Arthur'
