Does Kira have any important roles in Gundam Seed Destiny?

I'm on episode 13 right now and Kira hasn't really done much so far. Does Kira have any big roles in Destiny or has he been replaced by Shinn or something?

I'd appreciate any help and please, no spoilers. =]

Just you wait and see, Kira does play a major role in the anime. He does come back with his gundam but the first few episodes gives time for the viewers to get used to the new characters like Shinn. But not to worry, kira is definitely going to make a come back. Keep watching

Kira does take on a much bigger role as the series goes on and Shinn kind of backs out a little.  There are some great Kira moments in this series.  Eventually, it starts to feel like Kira is the main character again because he does get a lot of screen time.  If you're a fan of Kira's, you won't be disappointed with this sequel.
