  1. LAVENDER OIL

Lavender is considered by many aromatherapists to be the most versatile of all essential oils. It's a natural relaxant and stress reliever, and it has antiseptic and other healing properties. The following are just a few ideas of how you can use this wonderful oil.

Rub a small amount on your temples to help relieve a headache.

Pour a few drops into bathwater to soak and relax.

Use a few drops in rinse cyle of wash.

Use on burns and bites to relieve pain.

Use on minor skin abrasions to aid in healing.

Sprinkle a few drops on a cotton ball or hanky kept by your pillow to help you sleep.

    LAVENDER FLOWER BUDS

Lavender is a natural moth and flea repellant as well as a natural relaxant and stress reliever.

To use as a moth repellant, simply place lavender sachets in drawers, closets, and trunks, or wherever you store natural fabrics. It works as good as moth balls and smells wonderful.

To use as a flea repellant:

Bring a quart of water to boiling. Pour it over 3 tablespoons lavender flowers, and let it steep until cool. Transer to a spray bottle and spray pets and their sleeping areas.

Sprinkle flowers on carpets, under couch cushions, around pets sleeping areas, etc. (an added attraction is when you vacuum it up, you fragrance your home with lavender.)

  2. Yes. Cedar and lavender is a very effective combination.
