Does Lens Doctor Really Work?

I have some scratches on my glasses. They are not glass lenses. I am thinking about buying a bottle of that lens doctor stuff but I cannot afford for it to mess up my glasses... Does anyone have any good or bad stories about it?

DONT DO IT!

My mother is an optician and she say that you might as well put clear finger nail polish on your glasses. You will have to buy new glasses if you use it. and the stuff does not come off once you put it on, just dont do it!
