Question:

Does Lewis "Podium" Hamilton Need To Learn To Control The Adrenalin Rush He Gets In The Pit Lane?

My take on his crash with Raikkonen is that he was in a big hurry to get out of the Pits and back on the track. Maybe he needs to remember that when he drops from 7th gear and 220mph to 2nd gear for the pit stop, he also needs to mentally come down 5 gears as well! so that he does not give away another race or a potential championship. I think he gets so

hyped up, he finds it difficult, to mentally come down and slow down, that he even does not see a red light and stationary cars in front of him until it is too late.

  1. Ummm the "others" were stopped and had been. Hamilton clearly steered into Kimi. Why may never be answered. Maybe he thought he could have cleared Kimi's car and had he gone left the gaurdrail was there, so why not hit the car that would have gained points? But then again if he had all the time to think this out he would have stopped.

Clearly a "WHAT WAS I THINKING" Moment.

  2. I think he did it on purpose, because raikkonen had track position ahead of him after that pitstop and lewis knew that montreal is a tough place to overtake so, to stay in the lead from raikkonen in terms of championship points, he just ended his race so that raikkonen could not score, and thus make him further from the lead. But this is just my conspiracy theory.

  3. he needs to learn to drive!!!that was an embarrasing accident for him!!!what a father, what a son!!!

  4. Yes, a foolish way to loose 10 points and the lead of the championship.

I think people are looking into this too deeply, Hamilton made an error, he should of known the red light was on and see the others were slowing. Hamilton just made a vein attempt to get alongside Raikkonen a but 30 yards and 20 mph too late and fast.

  5. It was a silly mistake to make, but for goodness sake we all make them. Is he any more stupid just because the public was viewing him? Mistakes exist to be learned from, and spectators and the media should be far more tolerant.

Kimi Räikkönen should especially be more tolerant, because even though he did not speed off in a red light he had a similar collision with Sutil only two weeks ago at the Monaco GP. He should know how it feels, especially since he did not have to retire from the Monaco GP as Hamilton did from the Canada GP.

Besides, this is something he will have to suffer from, not anyone else, so why is everyone making it worse for him by telling him that he's "stupid" and an "idiot" like he already feels? He needs to focus on being stronger for the France GP rather than watch his self-esteem drop from media taunts.

It was not a wise thing to do, and yes, he should have been sure of the lights. But he's still fairly new, he's still learning, and he definitely won't make a silly mistake like that again.

And to all those saying that he did this deliberately to spoil Räikkönen's race, why on earth would he want to risk damaging his own car? He's well aware of how fragile the F1 cars are, so why would he want to rip a hole out of McClaren's pocket and certify his own forfeit from the race?

  6. He is a  idiot and a very impatient  twit, i am not keen on him, he will never be as good as schumi.
