the program it self does not but you can DOWNLOAD viruses that you think are songs.

Limewire itself is not a malicious program nor does it carry any type of malicious code within itself or while running.

The problem that leads to viruses in conjunction with Limewire is what you download.  There are a large amount of files on Limewire that have malicious code and viruses built into them.  Especially music MP3s.  

Using the program will not get your computer infected but you need to be careful what you download from them.  It's good to scan files after downloading before they can do major harm.
