Does MS Dhoni care about Test cricket. Should he still be future Test captain?

Dhoni has said that he could never watch test cricket or even one day cricket because he found it boring, the only time he watched cricket was when sachin tendulkar was batting. THIS PROVES HE AINT A CRICKET PURIST, AND DOESNT UNDERSTAND THE GAME.

Moreover, He complained of being tired, LOL, and therefore skipped an important test series against Sri Lanka, But he would play the one day series that follows ( Just Shows where is real attention is, LIMITED OVERS CRICKET) One could ask, if he was tired, then why did he play in the useless Kitply cup, and the pathetic Asia Cup.

People Like Dravid, Kumble, Ganguly, Laxman, Sehwag, Sachin, khan ect... Have never complained of being tired, let alone deciding to skip a Test series

Dhoni is a bad influence on the younger generation, and i personally dont want someone like that to be captain

Dhoni is a good captain and all, but I don't know if he can handle the pressure of a test match cause the overs are endless and all. First (especially after the Asia Cup) I think he needs to brush up his form and captaincy for 50 over matches...Then maybe the Indian selectors could consider him as a test captain(And he'd be pretty good at that.) Until then...I think they should stick with Kumble or Dravid...Or whoever is the captain right now.

Yes, agreed. Personally, I think that Ms Dhoni just made a flimsy excuse to skip the test series, because he knows that he isn't that good at test, and possibly would turn out to be the biggest failure infront of the bowling attack of Murli, Vaas, and of course Sri Lanka's new found mystery spinner, Ajantha Mendis. A cricketer having a pathetic batting technique like Dhoni can't expect to succeed in tests. So, he pulled out of the test series to save himself from disgrace. Another thing is that perhaps he doesn't want to be in the same team with the seniors-Ganguly and Dravid. He knows very well that he is the one responsible for ruining their careers, and his guilty conscience makes him avoid them. But he never hesitated to play the ODIs in Sri Lanka, because being the captain of the ODI team, he is the absolute dictator there. Dhoni never once complained about the back to back IPL matches, because of the financial benefits he was deriving from IPL.

As I always say, MS Dhoni isn't a cricketer, but a politician who is here to fill his own pockets with money, and ruin Indian cricket with corruption. He has neither talent nor committment. Players like Sachin, Sourav, Dravid, Laxman or Kumble never once complained of the fatigue caused by the non stop games, because they are true cricketers, who are dedicated to the game, and to the Indian team. To a cricketer, tests are the most important, and it's really wrong on the part of Dhoni, to make negative comments about the traditional form of the game. Sehwag indeed has all qualities to become a good skipper, and should not only be the next test captain after Kumble, but also should replace selfish Dhoni as the ODI captain.

Dhoni's been playing crikcet non-stop for 1 and a half years now in all of India's Test, ODI and T20 teams!! He does deserve a rest!!

MS Dhoni does care about test cricket but his primary focus is ODI's. Indian cricket puts great emphasis on ODI's. If you look at how many ODI's they play compared to test matches, you will see that they play a greater amount of ODI's.
