  1. yes for water pollution. water pollution is one of the current environmental issues in Madagascar. completely those issues are: soil erosion results from deforestation and overgrazing; desertification; surface water contaminated with raw sewage and other organic wastes; several endangered species of flora and fauna unique to the island.

The problem of  water pollution which starts to become increasingly alarming and which is due mainly to the absence of legislation and control on the pollutant emissions by industrial facilities, but also fast urbanization involving the appearance of shantytowns near lakes and rivers.

for air pollution i guess it's a result from Deforestation of Madagascar. i've ever read that madagascar has already lost 90 % of its forest. Obviously with less trees there is more pollution or CO2 let into the air. and it gets worse because Slash and burn farming is often the only way a farmer knows how to farm- this is a way of farming for farmers in Madagascar, they slash and burn land then they start to farm that land then they farm the piece of land until the crop yield becomes poor and they move on to another piece. besides there is also industrial activities as the principal sources of pollution on the environment: discharges of polluting gases in the atmosphere, waste solid, waste water of the factories.
