Does Mark Martin stand a chance if he takes over the 5 car next season @ Hendrick?

Will it be like the transition of JJ Yeley winning ZERO races, to Kyle Busch in the same car winning MULTI races and leading the points?

Could Mark Martin finally have his chance right infront of him to battle and win a Cup Series title?!

  1. Mark can drive any car for any team and be successful someone posted and said he is to old what does age have to do with anything.  As for multi wins its possible but no championship.

  2. Mark Will drive whatever when ever he just wants to race and whereever he goes he has success he has done very good at DEI and if he gose to hendrick i dont see why not

  3. sure he does hes a great driver and i do think that he could make the chase if he stayed in a car full time and hendrick has a great team that could make it happen for him

  4. I'd seriously like to see Mark win a Championship.  I don't know though...it's typical of Hendrick to give the best stuff to the other drivers and hang the #5 out to dry.

  5. He will make the Chase but I doubt he will win the Championship.

  6. He definitely has his best chance for a championship ever. Whether he'll win it or not I don't know.

As far as his age, who cares as long as he can still drive? He's still more competitive than a lot of the younger drivers in the field.

I can't wait till next year!

  7. That's an easy question! It's Mark Martin. He can drive anything. He has just as good as chance as anyone else. Mark Martin+Rick Hendrick= CHAMPIONSHIP MATERIAL!!!

  8. I think with his experience and great tools at Hendrick, he could win some races and make it into the chase, but I think the Cup champion is a little bit impossible.

  9. I can't say that he WILL win a championship but with that equipment it will be his best shot EVER!!

  10. Nope.  Won't happen.

  11. well he has the best equipment now, but he's gonna have to beat jr, johnson, and gordon. So who knows.

  12. no he is to old no affence to him i used to like him but now i want him to retire

  13. It would be nice, I like Mark Martin.

  14. He will have a chance but it's not like he hasn't had good equipment in the past.  I don't think he WILL win the championship but he should have driven full time last year when he got out of the car and was leading the points.  At this stage of his career it is not going to be any easier to win a championship next year than it has been the last 25 or 26 years he's been in the cup series.  I like him but he should have just retired when he left Roush.  When he has said that winning a championship is not that important to him I don't think he has been honest with himself.

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  15. Hopefully!

Maybe than he will retire like he said like 3 years ago.
