I just watched a documentary about Massachusetts, and I didn't see any fall foliage.

  1. Yes we get trees with leaves that turn red, orange, and yellow. It's a beautiful place in the fall.

  2. yes they have trees, every state does. u just have to get out of the cities and into the country areas.  and yes they turn colors in the fall just like everywhere else

  3. OMG

We have lots of nice fall foliage here, especially the sugar maples, they always have the nicest colors.

You might have seen images from the cities or beaches,  but even the cities often have some decent foliage.

Go to central or western Mass. for the best foliage viewing. lots of woods there

  4. Of course it does. What ever you were watching more then likely wasn't filmed in the fall so you didn't see all of the beautiful colors. Mass is more heavily populated so you have to get out of the city areas to see the colors in the rural locations.

  5. The foliage in parts of Massachusetts is in many places just as spectacular but MA is not as mountainous.  Peak color is about one week later than it is in central VT and NH.  The best MA areas are the Berkshires and central MA, but there are areas of swamps in eastern MA near Boston full of swamp maples that are incredible.  Rte 95 in Dedham/Westwood, and Rte 93 in North Reading bisect two of them.

  6. Yes, all the New England states are full of Oaks, Birch and Maple trees.  They are starting to change right now.
