Do you feel it was an offensive political gimmick to sway undecided Hillary supporters and female Independent voters to vote for him just because his VP choice is a female? Do you think McCain did it because he thinks most females are stupid enough not to make their own intelligent choice?

  1. Yes.  First of all most Hillary Clinton voters are concerned with the Roe vs Wade overturn..with Palin bye bye...and secondly you can argue she will only be VP but with McCain's age and previous health issues this was a scary move.

  2. I don't vote based on s*x or race. I vote based on the laws of economics and who is best for the country. In this instance it's McCain and I think the choice of a woman doesn't really help or hurt that.

  3. absolutely not.  It offends hard core Obama supporters because it imputes genuine fear that they may lose this thing!

Remember that it was OBAMA who passed up on Hillary....what a novice mistake.  Obama dissing hillary is proof that Obama makes poor decisions.

When McCain wins, dems are going to be looking back wondering what went wrong....Obama's choice of Biden was arrogant...as if he didn't need hillary and didn't want to dilute the spotlight off him.

McCain's choice is very uniting for the republicans and very attractive to many female independents

  4. "Do you think McCain did it because he thinks most females are stupid enough not to make their own intelligent choice?"                      You sound like the kind of person who believes its their choice to end a life through abortion!

  5. This is probably the smartest move McCain will make in this campaign.  Unless some terrible secret comes out about Palin, McCain had just sealed the deal.  Obama should have picked Hillary as VP.  If he had, the road to the White House would have been his.

If he wasn't smart enough to pick Hillary, do we need him as President?  He turned his back on the wishes of 18 million voters. (I say this as a life-long Democrat.)

  6. Absolutely not.

  7. No.

As a matter of fact, it was one of the smartest things McCain has ever done. As a Hillary supporter, I am very impressed that he would go out of his way, to please us.

Unfortunate for Obama that he did not think that way.....

    McCain/Palin '08

    Hillary Clinton '12

  8. I think it was an excellent choice in that she is a strong Conservative. If she picks up a few Hillary supporters, that's great. Although I doubt many will like her positions.

  9. As a Hillary supporter, I think Obama offended Hillary supporters and female independants. I also think McCain made a great choice especially since many Hillary/PUMA supporters were already going to vote for him. All Johnny did was made us feel like he was considering us in his decision for v.p. Something Obama didn't do!

    Thanks Johnny

    See ya in November

  10. I think you're right. I thought a while ago how he could pick Condeleeza Rice to run with him and that would really split the Black vote and really make race a total non-issue of sorts. What can I say? All is fair in love and politics?

  11. Actually, I think that EVERYTHING offends Hillary supporters.

  12. You bet it does.

  13. Ok so vote for Clinton just because she's a women but don't vote for Palin just because shes a women. You can't have it both ways. Palin woman or not is an incredible conservative canidate and has my vote all the way.

  14. Of course he's pandering to women!

He only just made his VP pick this morning. The woman has absolutely no experience at all. And the Republicans argue about Obama's experience? Well they have no place to now.

  15. I do find McCain's pick offensive, as a woman I don't want a job only because I am a woman, I want a job because I am as qualified as any man.  What about Hutchenison or Rice?  What reason do I have to vote for her?  Something could happen to McCain and I am being asked to put my trust in a person with less than 20 month experience who asked in an in an interview what exactly a vice president does?  She is under investigation and her husband works for BP.  Personal issues aside she also she believes that there should be no exemptions to abortion in the case of incest or rape.  So you are telling me that if a 12 year old girl is molested by her father we as a country are going to force her to carry that baby to term? Please women of this great nation think this through!

  16. No, I do not think that. Further, anyone who does think that is living in a paranoid fantasy world.

  17. Some of you woman-libbers go too far.  Why do you think he chose her just because she was a woman??   Its a strategic move.  Can you blame him for considering everything that will get him in to the White House??  I think any one of us would use the best strategy to get us in as he did.  I am thrilled with his choice.  My only complaint.... is when she was giving her speech... McCain's smile/body language didn't look sincere.  He should work on that.

  18. It shouldnt.... i believe in a female president BUT the ENTIRE clinton family is CORRUPT

  19. I'm glad you asked. I thought that was the only one to think that.  I do think he choose her because she is a female and he wants all the Hillary Supporters, I hope they don't

    fall for that.

  20. Only the ones who have been female since birth.

  21. This will probley help McCain, this is no different then Obama picking Biden because people criticize his experience, hence McCain's choice.

Analyze both sides before making judgements.

  22. No, i'm not offended in the least. I support McCain for his ideals, I really don't care who his VP is, and it dosen't change the fact that I plan to vote for him.

  23. Maybe if you take your hands off of your ears you'll learn something.

She is a conservative. She'll attract some women, but not *just* because she's a woman, but because she is the most amazing female politician in the country.

  24. Does the DNC's choice of a Black President offend the typical American democrats?  Do you feel it was an offensive political gimmick to sway voters to vote for him just because his is black?

I hope you like how I flipped that S**t.

  25. I must say I was surprised by the choice.  I listened to her talk and applaud McCain's decision.  Caught me totally off guard.

My perspective is women and man and races should be united.  Biden is "old" news.

  26. She does not represent the real women of America.  All women, except christian right wing wives and females believe we have a right to choose when it comes to our own family.  She wears FUR, animal activist will go after her; her troopergate scandal will be used against her, and she's never met world leaders unlike Obama.  Never even lived outside of ice.  We don't need more Christian fanatics making decisions for millions of Americans.  Obama is more qualifed then she is, and Biden will cream her in the debts.

  27. I just depends on how overly-defensive feminists are, otherwise the choice of a woman is coincidence and irrelevant.

Look at the record and experience before anything.

  28. Absolutely. Many women are outraged at this; she is NOT Hillary, someone please tell that to Johnny boy. His strategy won't work.

  29. No, Hillary is laughing! Who could blame her?
