  1. He might be rich, but he earned that money and deserves it.

  2. hero's get at least 50,000 a year right

  3. If it was Obama you would be ok with it.

  4. What I hear is that he gives the money to charity. Sounds good enough to me.

  5. he's also specifically voted against increasing vet benefits.

    can't quite figure that out...

  6. It really doesn't matter whether or not he needs it.  He has earned it.  The way that pay works is it is his retirement pay from the military that is considered disability pay by the VA for tax purposes.  It is the same way for any veteran in his situation.  He is not getting special treatment from them.  What he does with his money is his business.

Second, He as well as a lot of other Vietnam veterans have done a lot for those of us who are Iraqi Freedom veterans.  I believe that is part of the reason he went into politics in the first place.  We as a nation can never repay the Vietnam vets for the sacrifices that they made  and the things they have done for us veterans who have followed in their footsteps.  They have done a lot to ensure that no veteran will have to go through the things they went through when they came home.  Senator McCain is no exception.

As far as him not voting for an increase in benefits, it was his position that those of us with more time in service as well as more time in combat zones should be entitled to more benefits that those who only served one enlistment.  I completely agree that benefits should go hand in hand with length of service.

  7. He has never been for veterans . He stopped investigations into Vietnam  POW's . He's not an honorable man .
