Yes, he now seems to have a long list of memorized talking points so that he usually can come up with a fast and short answer. He was trying to wing some answers on his own, but now he's done his homework and is giving ready made, focus group tested answers almost all the time. When he responded to the number of houses question by saying he'd have his aides get back to the questioner with the answer, what he really meant was that he didn't have the proper dodge memorized. Now of course, we all know that the answer to the house question is that he was a POW for 5 1/2 years and did not have a kitchen table or a house and that his deceased father in law worked very hard and earned every penny of the wealth that McCain is now enjoying.

I assume you're talking about his comment about not knowing how many homes he has.  I know a lot of people who by financial advisement buy real estate, and someone else manages it for them.  So, why is it unbelievable not to remember a piece of real estate that you never visit, that you don't have anything to do w/ other than the fact that you happen to own it.
