Does McDonalds do job interviews?

Hi,

I worked at McDonalds and they neither did a job interview nor a background check. Is that the norm? or do they usually do both?

Wow thats a bit strange. Well here in australia where I work at Mcdonalds I did an interview then about a week later did an orientation day, where you had to watch a video about the place and get to know the basics of safety and customer service/care etc.

I'm not sure whats the normal thing they do at Mcdonalds but most fast food places just require a quick interview then a phone call back to say whether or not you go the job

Its probably because the majority of applicants are teens who probably never committed a crime.

I think they ususally sit and talk to you like an interview but if your app. looks good you may not need one. As far as background checks, not every place does that.

IT depends on the owners of each franchise.  I worked with one that did an interview but no background check.
