Quote again:"In order to balance the weight (of earths Surface), much of the compressed rock is forced downwards, producing deep "mountain roots"." the mantle beneath oceans produces earthquakes but not the mantle beneath the continents"

This is what Quran means less it will shake with you meaning supporting the mantle beaneath the continent. It also says in ord to balance the weight of earth surface. You people are still in denial and now saying these scientist are lying, why dont you look at the sources.

  1. No you idiot mountains are part of the crust that have been folded upwards they have no roots thats trees m8

  2. For the sake of the argument let us say that Mountains are pegs. But why does the Quran say the following verse?

    In Sura Al Al-Anbiyaa (Chapter 21 verse# 31)

    It says

" And We have placed on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with them

'Shaking of the earth' and 'earthquakes' mean the same thing right? If mountains prevent earthquakes then why do we see so many earthquakes in mountainous regions?. For example, Japan is a mountainous zone but it has 1500 earthquakes per year.
